My catalog item has "No order now" checked under Portal Settings. Despite this, 1 time out of 10 the Order Now button will appear next to the Add to Cart button.
The behavior in brief:
- Most of the time and for most users, the Order Now button does not show (or shows for half a second before disappearing).
- In a few cases, the Order Now button shows and does not disappear. But if I then refresh the page, the button disappears. Likewise, if I go back to /esc and open the item again from there, the button will not show up a second time.
- This has so far impacted only a few users, usually after changes have been made to the catalog item. One of the first times (not necessarily the very first) someone interacts with the updated catalog item, the Order Now button will show.
I understand if this is hard to debug from the outside but I'm hoping that someone has had a similar problem and solved it.

The "No order now" checkbox had been unchecked again somehow, checking it again seems to have taken care of the problem.
It is still strange that the Order Now button would sometimes show and sometimes not.
@Ankur Bawiskar, the problem appeared both when opening the form through /esc and from the catalog item.
I will mark it as solved and hope it does not happen again.

unless you are able to replicate the issue everytime you cannot debug much.
Did you check those users how they visited the catalog item?
