Hi all, wanted to try the GRC: Policy and Compliance Management module in a PDI. I am just double checking am I right in assuming that I am allowed to install Paid plugins in a PDI - its just you cant to this in production instance without a licence.

Hi @jbugeja,
you don't need to worry, nothing in your PDI is paid. Even in client's environment I remember we saw a plugin with "paid" but it was free in the end... 😄 but PDI is just to play around and isn't associated with any real contract, it's a demo version of ServiceNow and thus the "Paid" label is not changed just for PDIs...
If it lets you install or download it, do it. Really PDIs are 100 % for free.
Look, it's they very first of FAQs 😉

PS: some capabilities such as gen AI is not supported on PDIs... so as long as you. manage to install or donwload things, you can use it fro free. If it's not for free you will nto be able to run it on your PDI > "everything that is enabled is allowed and everything that's disabled is not allowed" 😉
Happy building!

Hi @jbugeja in pDI all plugins are free and few are not available due to reasons. So if you see any plugin in pDI , you can install and use without any issues

Hi @jbugeja,
log into your PDI, then update the URL below with your correct name and navigate to that:
https://yourinstance.service-now.com/now/app-manager/home/plugin/id/com.snc.grc_policy_dep/details
and click install. It's available in my PDI so I believe it will be in yours too..
Eventually, go to Plugins:
and search for that plugins by their ID (e.g. com.snc.grc_policy_dep) or Name (GRC) etc...
Let me know if you managed to install it successfully

Thanks so much for the reply, I am more confirming if it says "PAID" as its a PDI we can ignore the "PAID" comment and install it for testing. Is that right?
