PDI Exercise - Email Sending is Non-Operational

Was trying out the following Exercise in my PDI

After enabling for "Email sending enabled", Email Sending is Operational is supposed to be displayed under Email Diagnostics however I'm still seeing Email Sending is Non-Operational.

Pls assist, thank you!

since over one year, it is not possible any longer to receive or send emails with a PDI. See https://developer.servicenow.com/blog.do?p=/post/sending-emails-from-pdis/ for more information
