PDI is hibernating but Dev website states 'Request an Instance'

Help! I cannot wake my instance, I have been using it every day for months. Even 24 hours ago.

The Deveoper website is saying I do not have one allocated, that I can request one. Has something happened to developer instances? Is there any way for to get my previous one back?

Hi @lewismac ,

In general, a PDI should only be reclaimed if not utilized for the past 10 days. nothing the less, there is no support available from ServiceNow in relation to PDIs. So if the PDI has been reclaimed, your only option is to request a fresh installation. There is no possibility to get the old one back again.

Frustratingly, I have been using this specific PDI almost daily - I built many custom apps such as a personal MFA token generator which I use for storing TOTP secrets and generate codes from and trial the majority of solutions I use for client work on this instance.

I had tweaked this specifc MFA custom app only yesterday and had been using the instance less than 24 hours ago for testing out potential solutions for custom sender address scripting for an ongoing client engagement.

Today my dev login advertises I must request an instance and the instance is hibernating. It will be highly disapointing if I am forced to lose access to the progress.

@lewismac There have been some issues going on the PDI part, several other users have also reported PDI related issues in last couple of days. Few managed to get access to their instance back while others had to request for a new instance.

I recommend you to wait for a day and try accessing your instance again if the situation remains the same then you can request for a new instance.

Thanks Sandeep but unfortunately it still seems to be unallocated.
