I've had the following question posed by a co-worker:
"The tasks now DO appear to be working off of week days/business days. I modified my task to 75 days and it shows the desired 7/1/15 end date that I wanted. However, the auto-update of the main project used the 75 days in a different way and made the planned end date for the whole project 6/2/15 which I believe is 75 actual days." I haven't come across a solution to this yet. Any thoughts? Thanks!

If you recently upgraded, it's possible that a new 'schedule' was loaded and it's now using that schedule. (see below) I would review your schedules and if necessary, disable the new one and use your own.
The Project application includes a default schedule that is applied to all new projects and project tasks. The schedule uses a 40-hour work week, from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. with an hour break at noon.

Agree with Michael...check what schedules are applying to this project. There may be holidays built in now.
The project's Planned End Date should just be pulling from the end date of the last task in the project schedule (Unless you're in Fuji and using the 'manual' calculation).
You may want to move this question to Space: Project Portfolio Management | ServiceNow.
