Hello,
An end user would like to have access to change management module ONLY where she can creates change requests.
How to grant her to the module with giving her ITIL role?
Thanks

Hello Jessica,
Fields being read-only is still an ACL related issue, but should be easier to narrow down now that you've cloned the sn_change_write role. Just review change table controls for a couple of those fields and see what they share, and there's probably just a higher ACL in the hierarchy making them read-only that isn't shared.
For the buttons, those are going to be UI Actions and the same thing applies - check their role restrictions and add your custom role. This screenshot is from the Request Approval UI Action (there are 2 of them)

Hello Jessica,
The roles for access to create a change request are itil, admin, or sn_change_write as found on the docs.

Hi Logan,
Could I make a copy of sn_change_write role and keep just change management module, because we don't want to allow end user to see any other module except the change management?

Hello Jessica,
You can, you need to also create a respective ACL for the change table so that the user is able to submit the change request. The module viewability in the navigator won't directly correlate to functionality.

Good morning Logan,
I have an assignment where I need to give change management access only to an end users, but without giving them these roles: itil, admin, or sn_change_write.
However, I have never done this task before and would like some guidance.
If I understand you correctly, here are the steps I need to follow:
1. Create a custom Role
2. Add end users to the custom Role
3. Grant custom Role to the change management module (Application Menu)
4. Create an Access Control record (ACL) on the change table
5. Grant custom role to the ACL
