Quick Messages no longer fill in the Body of the Client email after Jakarta upgrade

We are upgraded to Jakarta Patch 1 Hotfix 1 in Test, and none of our Quick Messages are working. We use this functionality extensively, and although the list of the messages shows up in the list when using the Email button on records, none of the text from the body of the Quick Message is loading into the Email body. I tried creating a new quick message with just some basic text in the body field, and saved it with my user id as the user. Still not working.

Just curious if anyone else uses this feature and can tell me if it's a bug, or just something on our end.

Thanks!

I ran into the same issue.   I resolved by changing the 'Body' field on the 'Email Client Canned Messages' form from String to HTML.

Worked for me. Thanks, Jennifer.

Just wanted to add in case your variables are no longer working; I found that the switch from String to HTML added an in SNOW invisible character between $ and { in my instance. Removed this character and everything worked fine again.

We just upgraded to Jakarta patch 6 and have this issue.

We solved this by going into the form of the Quick Message, and changing the type of field for the Body text to HTML. Worked like a charm.

Just FYI, We have a Problem logged in Hi for this behavior. PRB1244841

you may wnat to follow the work around above.. replacing the body type with html instead of text.. it gives you more functionality.. and it does work
