Hello,
I added a custom table called "Vendor Contact" so we can add multiple contacts to a vendor (core_company). Then I created two relationships between the two so I can have the list show up both ways.
Vendor Contact:
Vendor:
Now, if I go directly to the table - core_company and try to add the relationship (Configure->Related Lists), I can't find Vendor Contact... why? :
However, I am able to go to any Vendor record, right click, Configure->Related Lists, and add the Vendor Contact:
Doing it this way, no one other than myself can see the related list.
I am not sure what I am missing... am I not allowed to add a relationship to this table?
Thanks,
M

Hi @MWright1 ,
it should work
The core_company table screenshot you have shared doesn't look like it's related to the core_company table's but it looks like related list of table(sys_db_object) related list
open any core_company record and configure related list and add the vendor relationship
if it is related to core_company, may be trying clearing the cache and use different browser and try to add the relationship (this step is not at all required but just in case)
Please mark my answer as helpful/correct if it resolves your query.

Thank you for clarifying.
Yes, I did exactly as you suggested - open up a core_company record and set up the related list. It shows up on my view - ONLY for me. Someone else logs in and they cannot see the related list at all. The whole tab is not there. I don't think it has anything to do with the cache. I can impersonate the person (using the same browser - the one that shows up for me) and the tab disappears.
Thanks,
M

Hi @MWright1 ,
if you can see and someone else can not (that should be cache issue) ask them to clear their cache or try in incognito window
are they in the same view as the view that you have configured the related list in?

I impersonated this person using the same browser and access the record in exactly the same way and i can't see the related list tab I just added.
