Hi,
I am looking for any guidelines or approach to follow when migrating from BMC Remedy to ServiceNow. If any one has any inputs it would be helpful.

Hi,
What kind of guidelines do you need?
Are you implementing the Remedy or Servicenow side of the integration or both? I have done integrations from and to Remedy servers and there is nothing special regarding integrating Remedy to a Servicenow installation.
You could have issues regarding mapping attachments outbound to the Servicenow ECC Queue, as the filter on Remedy side requires matching and compatible field types. All elements on the ecc_queue table web service are string type. More on the ServiceNow SOAP Web Service AttachmentCreator can be found here.

HI,
I am looking for more of migration not integration. Say I need to completely move a client from BMC Remedy to ServiceNow along with all foundation data, Knowledge articles, Service Catalogs, SLA etc..

Hi,
Sorry, I somehow confused migration to integration
Personally, I have not been involved in a project of this scope. I know that there are tools on the market available for data migration, may be you have a look at them to start with.
After working with a large Remedy installation for more than 10 years, I think you could run into issues with extracting, converting and migrating live and historical data from production Remedy to the new ServiceNow installation once you are ready to go-live.
My then client also wanted to go the Remedy to ServiceNow path, but in the end they decided to have both systems and an integration was built between them.
