Report Admin Role

Is there a way to grant someone access to the reporting application so that they can create reports and make visible to any group, even if they are not a member? We have a report admin in-house that creates the majority of reports and is asked by many peers from other departments to create specific departmental reports. The report_group role only allows groups that you are part of and the report_global is just everyone. I would like to set up a role named report_admin that would give few people the rights to create reports for any group available but I can't figure out where to grant these rights.

Also, is it possible to create a report and make visible to one specific user?

Any help is appreciated. I'm not too familiar with how these roles/rights are granted.

Unfortunately, currently only the admin role can see all groups there.

However, I think the suggestion makes sense for the report_admin role to be able to see all groups. After all, a user with the report_admin role can simply edit the sys_report records themselves to change the group. Why make it that hard?

I'll check in the enhancement (I think it's a trivial one), and if accepted it'll be in the next release.

What timing... I was just looking at a way to allow a group of people to be able to create and see reports for any group like the admin.

I could really use a fetcher like this also.

Can Service-Now add this to the tool? As other's have suggested, expanding the reporting role would be a great win for us. We have directories and executives that don't belong to their support groups but what to create groups for the groups they own. This would be a great enhancement to the reporting functionality of the tool.
