Hi all,
I am modifying some email notification templates, however on some of the older notification templates, they are in plain text, however when I create a new template - I only see the HTML view.
I know this is handy for some, however the most of my templates are already done, in HTML formatting.
I want to be able to revert it back to plain html, but cannot for the life of me find the button.
I have found this thread from last year, however the answer is not clear to me
https://community.servicenow.com/thread/183235?q=Revert%20to%20plain%20text%20edit
I have seen that I can go to the advanced view, and then change it to plain text only - however that is not formatting the same way - it is not picking up the correct font in the preivews.
How can I just go back to having the plain text editor?
Thanks in Advance
Brendan

Interesting thing to note.
If I go and edit one of the older email notification templates, I can change from the Rich HTML editor and the plain text editor. This notification script was created when on Geneva. We are currently on Helsinki.
If I create a new email notification - I am unable to switch between them.

Also- looking at the other thread i mentioned in my last post, I found the UI actions. We have two of them.
Revert to Plain Text Editor that references the Notification [sysevent_email_action] table
Revert to Plain Text Editor that references the Email Template [sysevent_email_template] table.

I have noticed this behavior before and I don't think it is supported for new email notification. This may be available only to support backward compatibility.
You can check if the UI actions have any conditions defined on them to prevent this.

3 years later, I have the same questions as you in London. In the advanced view, Text only, I can't get scripts to work that function fine in legacy Notifications that didn't use the HTML editor. Ugh.
