Search on Knowledge Management Service Portal

Hi,

I am looking to find a way so that when a user selects a knowledge base from the homepage on the knowledge management portal, the search widget only searches within that specific KB once directed to the next page. At present, it is returning All results from all KBs- which is not a desired solution.

To elaborate:

So if I select Human Resources General Knowledge on homepage

On this page the Human Resources General Knowledge is already applied as a filter after clicking that KB on homepage

And then, If i type in "Payroll" on the search i want it to return only the knowledge articles within the Human Resources General Knowledge and not from all the knowledge bases but it is currently returning all results from other KBs too and is not taking into account the first filter that was applied.

Hi @Franchesca Liz1 ,

Yes , this is because search will check based on the search source configured for that portal.

To achieve your goal you have to customise the search page which is not recommended, it will break all the search functionality including ai search.

What you can do instead of using oob one you can create new search field and apply that in search result page.

Accept the solution if it helped.
