looking to move to ServiceNow - Im trying to determine if I really need a domain separated instance. We are a managed Service provider that provides service desk services to several clients. Some of the clients have their own technicians, so we do need to at least only give them access to their own companies data. I need to provide monthly reporting by client. as well as have "branded" service portals for each client. I also have a requirement of a separate CAB for one of our clients. all other clients use the same cab/change instance. I know I can accomplish this with a Domain separated instance, I just dont know if the above items can be accomplished with a single instance.

Hi
You can have domain separated instance, as you are providing only service desk services.
Multiple clients can be hosted on it and data access can be restricted.

Hi David
As has been mentioned it's definitely worth discussing this with SN before you start out.
Separation allows you to separate at a data level so unless you give visibility of domain 1 to domain 2 fulfillers they will just not see the data of domain 1.
It can get messy if you have some third parties that support a couple of domains but not others. When you start looking into visibilities and how you may need to pass a ticket to a team that supports more than one domain etc it can get complicated.
However rather than try to mod the tool on the fly make a business level model of what you do, what you wish to be able to do and what you don't want to happen and then go talk to SN or one of their support partners.
It can be a real issue if you make the wrong decision at the start.
Good luck
