ServiceNow instance storage limit issue

Hello Everyone,

Our instance recently ran into a problem due to low disk space. We are currently exploring ways to clean up some space to ensure smooth operation of the instance.

Meanwhile, our business team has given their consent on moving the older attachments to an on-premise repository to achieve immediate relief.

We are looking for guidance and recommendations on how to best approach this problem, of course, conforming the best practices around this topic.

Thank you in advance!

Regards,

Gopikrishnan

Hi @Gopi22 ,For your info, 4TB should be a contractual limit, not a physical/Technical limit. The current servers are having capacity ranging from 12 TB -21 TB. As such, the technical limit would the size of the servers. That said, there are other mechanisms such as gateways to move some of the approved tables to another database catalog to address the disk space issues. Please also note that the hardware capacity are subjected to changes are there may be new servers with larger disk space in the future.

You would need to contact your ServiceNow Sales Representative for specifics around whether there are limitations for your specific instances. Depending on your contract there may be limitations around total volume of cases.
