Has one had any experience of putting the AxwayAPI gateway (or similar) between the MID server and SN SaaS?
We have an on-prem MID server which is working fine and a new MID server and Security are telling us that we must now place the Axway gateway in between the MID server and the Cloud.
1. will this actually work?
2. what impact will this have on utilising Store Apps and Integration Spokes?
3. is this a supported solution?
4. what issues have people found?
help please 🙂

You can add a proxy Server in between MID Server and SN. I never seen Axway in between. I don't this this works.

Thanks for your response, do you have any evidence or insights into why it wouldn't work. I have to provide justification and mitigation, short of trying it and proving it either way
I have not found any reference sites showing it working or even attempting it
thanks

Refer this link to understand how MID Server works:
MID Server communicates to ServiceNow instance via "MID Server External Communication Channel (ECC) Queue". This communication is ServiceNow provided, only option we have is to use Proxy Server. I don't think ServiceNow publishes article that says it cannot support Axway. You can refer the MID Server Installation details in below link which does not have option to connect via Axway.
If you need justification to be provided internally then you can raise support case with ServiceNow and use the response from ServiceNow as justification.
