servicenow reference field not showing display value when download via excel

We have a reference field (support Group ) which has read access to snc_external & cmdb_sample_role 

we have a user (test) who has those roles still cannot see that field and normal itil user can see that field 

if we try to report on that table and tried to export it in excel , the excel is not displaying any values for that field 

Can some one help me what might me the cause ?

Hi Kam, 

Can you go to the reference table and make sure that display value is checked for the field.

Just noticed there is no display value true in that table and its extended from cmdb_ci and the field is readonly
