set delegate to get approval emails

I setup a delegate for a manager who is out of the office.   I have noticed that the delegate is not getting the notifications.   Is there a way to set up the notification to send the email to the delegate as well?

The system does this by default. Are the delegation dates valid? Is the delegate able to receive email from the system apart from delegation?

I tried this in test and noticed that the approval is still in the submitters managers name but the delegate can see the approvals in their My Approvals and approve them.   However I only see one notification in the notification in the logs for approval and it only has one recipient which is not the delegate.   Yes the delegate can receive notification from ServiceNow.


Found the issue.   Seems the tech who setup the delegation unchecked most of the boxes except for approvals.   He thought the CC Notifications where for Change Control so he unchecked it as this user does not have access to Change Control.


Hi Chuck so I know the system does this by default but what if we ONLY want the delegate to get Approval notifications, when we check CC notifications and check approvals, the delegate gets CCd on all emails for whomever they are delegate for. Any idea how to get them to just get CCd on approval notifications?
