set delegate to get approval emails

I setup a delegate for a manager who is out of the office.   I have noticed that the delegate is not getting the notifications.   Is there a way to set up the notification to send the email to the delegate as well?

Hi Brian,

The system does this by default. Are the delegation dates valid? Is the delegate able to receive email from the system apart from delegation?

I have no idea if this is possible. It is currently the way delegation works. As a customer, I'm not sure I want to leave out the delegator from the email thread. I'm thinking as an executive VP (or something) that I would still want to be notified when my admin assistant is approving things in ServiceNow. Wouldn't you?

I think there may be a misunderstanding. What I'm trying to accomplish is preventing my delegate from getting a copy of every single email I get. We have it setup so he can only delegate for my approvals. Now that delegate is getting CC'd on ALL emails the system sends out to me whether I'm submitting a ticket for a new software I need installed or my team is getting assigned a ticket. What we really want is for the delegate to only get cc'd on emails that he is actually responsible for, which are my approvals, nothing else. He is currently getting bombarded with e-mails that provide him no value, since he really only cares about seeing if there is an approval waiting for us.

No way that I know off hand. Seems like a logical request. I'll stay tuned to this thread. If nothing comes up soon... I recommend reaching out to customer support. I'll be interested to hear what they have to say.

Yea I thought that would be your answer, I appreciate your responses and I'll definitely reach out to HI and post what responses I may get.

If there are specific notifications that you want to exclude for all delegates, the Notification (sysevent_email_action) form has a field called "Exclude delegates".
