Show activites of the variable of catalog item on catalog item form

I am attaching an image to the variable of the catalog item. once I click on configure variable, I am able to see those images under activities . I wanna show those images on the catalog item form, so can we show those activities on that respective variable on the catalog form?

Once you attach an image to the variable, you want to show that image on Catalog Item form view which you access after clicking on TRY IT button ?

 

Please help me understand the requirement a bit more in detail step-by-step.

Hi @Sachin Gavhane ,

 

Variables table is separate table (item_option_new) than catalog item table (sc_cat_item), I do not think you can add the fields of a different table using activity formatter.

 

The simplest way to overcome this would be to have business rules on Variables table. Whenever the fields of Variables table gets updated, copy over the updates to work notes of catalog item. This is similar to how you copy the activities from variable to catalog item form.
