Simple list widget linking to a custom table

Hello,

I have a custom table for a scoped roadside assistance app I am creating. On my service portal I created a simple list widget to link to all the open records. When I open a record from this list, nothing displays and the css is kind of odd. Any help would be appreciated.

I have included pictures of the simple list, how the record looks when clicked, and how it should look when looking at a simple list widget linking to the incident table. Also, instead of having worknotes, I created a journal field called issue in my custom table, just FYI.

Hi,

So from your simply list screenshot, I'm not sure if you're pointing to a problem, but the records show...you just need to clean it up a little like add the short description maybe and the record number as a secondary field, etc.

For the screenshot of it saying "no readable comment", that usually shows when there's a permission issue. Usually when you create a custom table, it comes with a role like u_custom_table_user and automatically sets up a read, delete, create, write role for ONLY that role. Unless you have that role, you'll see that "no readable comments" ...error...

So you'd need to go to your ACL's, find your table, and either add ITIL or something to it, so that others can see stuff here OR...you give that special new role to certain people.

Keep in mind that if you open it up to ITIL...you'll really be getting in to some runtime license issues because now you're making it available to everyone. I think read is fine...but as soon as people can write to it and be assigned stuff there...then that's where the runtime license comes in to play.

So things to keep in mind.

I believe that's why SN doesn't just give it out to ITIL...because of the license concerns. So it creates a special role that YOU need to assign.
