SSO implementation setup process?

Hi All,

SSO implementation setup process?
We have two portals one for internal ITSM users and the other one for External CSM contacts 
How can we setup SSO for both internal and external without any process deviation
Please provide any useful documents or videos
Best practices need to be followed as a part of the implementation 

Another complexity for many users is having  one user account and one contact account with the same name emails ids, so how can we route them to Internal and external portals
