Hi All,
I am currently exploring the standard change options.
On our normal changes the user has to fill in a risk assessment.
On standard change how will this work? Is it possible so when the user proposers fills in a standard change template that they fill in the risk assessment details and then when the standard change is being used the risk assessment no longer needs completing?
What is best practice around this?
Thanks
Sam

If you have implemented similar normal change (5 times) successfully you can consider it for standard change.
Ex : Data upload in service now, switch port change etc
Standard change can also be defined by change manager based on the impact. Risk assessment is not required for standard change because only repetitive changes with proven track record will be considered.

Hi Jayantha,
Thanks for the above. I thought that would be the case.
On the Change form there are 'risk' and 'impact' fields. What is the best way to handle these on standard change? is there a script that sets that all standard change = the same risk and impact?
Thanks
Sam

You can set the Risk and impact values to low when you create standard change templates.
