Startup error occurred on the PDI

When I tried to start my PDI this morning, I encountered the startup error shown in the attached image.

I waited for a few hours and attempted to start it again, but the issue persists without any improvement.

I clicked on the "Report" button shown in the image, but there was no response and it did not navigate to the Report page.

I do not want to lose the resources currently stored in my PDI.

I have checked websites such as the Community, Developer site, and Support site, but most of the information there is outdated.
Could you please provide the latest guidance on how to address this issue and where to contact for assistance?

Hi @kotaa

I know it's frustrating, but giving up should be the last option here. There's no way to take a backup until PDI is in an active state.

Hi @kotaa

I've been using PDI without any issues since this morning, but I've noticed several posts in the community about PDI being offline. Here are some points to consider:

  1. There is no support available for PDI.
  2. If you can wait, let's wait a bit longer.
  3. You can release this instance and start a new one, but you will lose your previous data. To avoid losing update sets in the future, make sure to take regular backups of your PDI.

There have been 3-4 posts in the community today about PDI failures or unavailability. Based on the responses, you might need to wait 1-2 days and hopefully, the PDI will be back online.

Backup and restore you PDI data using GITHUB

FYI, earlier Backup and restore feature was available for PDI's which is disccontinued since 15 DEC 2022

Link to that Post- https://developer.servicenow.com/blog.do?p=/post/update-to-restore-on-pdis/

However, there is a way to Backup your PDI Data using GITHUB

Please go through this URL for detailed explanation - https://developer.servicenow.com/blog.do?p=/post/backup-your-pdi/

Thank you for your response.
I waited for a few days and tried starting the instance again, but unfortunately, the issue persists and the PDI still fails to start.

Since PDIs are not officially supported, I am considering giving up on trying to use it again.

Just to confirm—would there be any way to retrieve resources from the PDI, such as via API access, even though it can no longer be started?

Hi @kotaa  I am currently seeing a PDI warning message banner on the login page. Hopefully they restore access soon otherwise what is the point of offering a PDI in the first place? Good luck!
