scenario : Cloud Dimensions is interested in creating a remediation workflow to handle orphan CIs. Before they build the entire workflow, they want to build the foundational structure of the workflow and verify that it can be launched successfully from an orphan task.
REQUIREMENT:
As the Cloud Dimensions CMDB administrator, build the following Orphan Remediation Workflow and CMDB Remediation Rule using the following requirements.
1. Create a workflow using the following information:
- Workflow Name: Remediate Orphan WF
- Workflow Table: Orphan CI Remediation [orphan_ci_remediation]
2. Configure the workflow, that when executed, writes to the short description field of the orphan task the following: 'Workflow launched for task number [actual task number of orphan rule]'
Hint: The workflow can be accomplished using a minimum of 3 to 4 activities: Begin, End, Run Script (found under Core Activities > Utilities) and/or Set Values (found under Core Activities > Utilities).
