I have 1 year experience with ServiceNow and I have also completed CSA and CIS-ITSM certifications. Should I aim to complete CAD or go for more implementation certifications.

Hi @RamIyer ,

technical functional role come with big roles and responsibilities. Having 1 years of experience in ServiceNow is not enough to become techno functional role. This role required sound knowledge on ServiceNow fundamental along with functional knowledge in popular module like ITOM,SPM,HRSD and so on.

I would recommend you to get more knowledge on various module of ServiceNow and then you opt for this role.

Hi @RamIyer

I think I am the best one to answer this.  I am not saying other answers are wrong or invalid but my view can help you. I am working as Techno Functional Consultant , yes having 10  yr experience in SN eco system. Getting in to this role is not easy with your experience but it is not like impossible too. I saw many who started on this role with 1 yr or experience.

To build this role, the main point is understand the SN eco system. This role is on client facing, which means client can ask any thing or every thing about platform so you should know about this. In this role, technical knowledge is required to understand the backend but 10-15% but more on functional side it is required. You need to build your portfolio and add  more modules like ITSM, CSM, HRSD, Secops etc but functionally means you know who these modules are interconnected , how the life cycle works, if change in one , how impact on other.

You can start with ITSM and along this start learning other modules as well.
