Translations in UI builder

HI,

Disclaimer: I have only been using UI builder for 3 weeks an I am tying to understand what I can and cannot do with it.

We support 15 different languages in our instance and I have a couple of questions related to handling translations when building a page using UI Builder.

Sample of the page I am testing with:

Question 1:

I have a "Stylized text" field on my page, is it possible to have it be "translatable" and if so how does one go about doing it?

Question 2:

I have a "List" component on my page and it has a "Title" attribute that indicates it is "translatable" as shown below.

How do I go about setting the values for the other languages?

I tried changing my language, setting the text and then saving the changes. (similar to what you do on catalog items). This only resulted in the having the title display in the new language even if the users had English selected.

I have figured this one out, I just needed to add entries into the sys_ui_message table.

Page now shows for Italian:

find_real_file.png

For English:

I do not think that this is the solution. Having to copy the pages when ServiceNow specifically says the field is "translatable" as indicated by the little globe glyph

I was hoping someone out there has been using UI Builder and knows how this feature worked.

Exactly as you say, when you see that "globe" icon when "translatable turned on" is active, then it would be an entry in the [sys_ui_message] table,

Many thanks,
Kind regards
