UI script in scoped application

I have a scoped application and there are few scripts with code duplication, UI scripts is one of the options i see to resue the code but it is not allowed in scoped applications. is it possible to use UI scripts in scoped applications or is there a different way for scoped application

Have you tried calling the UI script with the API name? 

You can also use Script includes to maintain reusable code
