So, whenever I am logging with Admin User and requesting for a catalog Item have observed that Requests are getting automatically in "Closed Complete" status along with the catalog tasks which is closed as well.
But, while I am logging in with End User, post placing order I can see catalog tasks is generated in open status
Now, when I am trying to close it by impersonating as an IT Admin, it is throwing following error and also not able to see closing notes field as well.
Now, I have 2 questions :
1. Why this catalog task is closed automatically for admin user while it is not closed by end user (any roles that is responsible for this change?)
2. Why I am not able to close the request, is there any specific rule that we need to check?

Hi @SangyM
I have mentioned below likely causes, please try to review and execute. this will help to solve your issue.
Issue Likely Cause Fix
Admin auto-closing request | Logic in workflow/flow that bypasses approvals/tasks for admin | Review and remove role-based auto-completion logic |
Can't close task / Close Notes hidden | UI Policy, ACL, or assignment restriction | Check UI Policy, ACLs, and make sure you are assigned_to |

Did you check the flow or workflow associated to that catalog item is configured that way for admin?
Out of the box it doesn't work that way for admins.
Please check any business rule or flow etc on sc_task table?
If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.
