Update Formula Indicator for this month but leave scores for previous alone?

I need to update our monthly SLA boards, specifically the overall percentage achieved to use an updated formula to calculate for July onwards. However, I do not want to have the previous months changed (managers hate that).

If I am changing the formula, its going to change the previous months... how can I prevent this? I am not recollecting the previous months data, but the formula will grab different pieces. 

Looking for ideas. Thanks for any help!

You need to recreate / duplicate the indicator source, automated indicators and create a new formula indicator. The new formula indicator should be added to existing widget. Furthermore, you need to ensure that no data collection for old indicators continues. Based on this, the new formula indicator with the active pa job will continue in the single widget.
