User is unable to view the translated articles in portal

Hi All,
We have Portuguese translated articles for English articles. When a portugal user is viewing the article and try switching the language to english the user is still seeing the Portuguese article instead of english. Even when we try to re-navigate to the article in portal it's still displaying Portuguese article number not the english article number. The translated articles are in published state, user criteria is fine. which and all areas to be checked. Please help me to resolve this issue
