Users missing menu list options.

Hi all,

Our users are missing the ability to filter their navigator lists, as described here:

Navigating Applications - ServiceNow Wiki

Specifically:

"Roles: similar to the Switch Perspectives option in UI11. Selecting a role filters the available applications by that role (for example, select ITIL to show only ITIL items such as Incidents, and filter out Asset Management items such as Asset Portfolio). You must have access rights to the items to see a perspective in the list. Administrators can customize perspectives. To see all available applications, click All."

Users can only see the following:

This is causing issues as we adjust roles on certain applications, as users cannot choose the "All" option to view all applications. I have been looking around for over a week and I cannot figure out how to enable the "All" option described in the wiki article I linked above.

Any ideas?

You can link roles to the available perspectives or newly created ones. Correct me if I didn't understand your problem accordingly.



EDIT: Sorry Miles, I see what your real problem is right now. Apologies I'm currently looking into it as I find it an interesting issue.

Thanks for your reply. I've seen this article, but it didn't help quite answer my question. Now that you bring it up though, I think I may just be misunderstanding my config. I expected all users to have the All option, but many users have only one role.



I'll go back to the drawing board with this.

back again; I was able to reproduce this behavior The option "All" only appears if the user has an user role which is linked to on the existing perspectives (configured via Menu Lists).

Btw, what is your instance version and release?
