vtb tasks are being hidden

Hello.

We have Virtual Task board members who are not able to see various tasks Assigned to him/her from the owner.   I was able to create a user and add him to the board and could duplicate the view board member view. There are tasks missing.     If i get give the created board member admin it can see all the tasks.   so i am guessing its a role permission but having no luck identifying it.

The task is assigned to the board member as primary and I verified the board member is a board member.

Is the owner able to hide select tasks from certain members?

The easiest way to definitively say why someone cannot see a task is to:

  1. Get the URL to one of the tasks that someone is having a problem with.
  2. As admin, enable security debugging.
  3. Impersonate the user, and browse the URL you saved in step 1. The security debugging output will tell you exactly what is not letting them read the record.

Otherwise, you cannot "hide" a task from specific members on a VTB. You can "archive" tasks, but that function removes them from everyone's view.

Hello Patrick,

Thank you for sending me that.   I may not quite understand what I am looking at but.... I am looking for any red X's.   Something that is not giving an approval for access.

I am seeing there are only 2 roles impacting this view.   Its the snc_internal and admin role.

She has the internal one but of course not the admin.   So how do I give her team the correct access without giving them all admin? Am i to go into the access control and modify that one statement?   changing the role to something else?

Hi,

Check if the cards are displayed. You can navigate to the table vtb_card and check. Please refer to below thread for effective using of Visual task board.

I am sorry I am using terminology incorrectly.   I mean the cards are not showing.
