Walk-up editing appointment schedule question?

Hey Everyone, 

 

I need assistance. My client wants to edit the window start, window_start, on the scheduled appointments table, wu_appointment. We noticed that only the person scheduling the appointments can actually edit this field. We want our walk-up technicians to be able to do so too. We have made the field editable, but the technician can edit the field, but it won't calculate the window end times correctly. 

 

Also, we noticed even if we correct a client script, the window start when edited by the technician is only visible in the standard UI. When we look at the portal, the time isn't change. 

 

We can't find the business rule for this logic. Has anyone found it?
