Hi,
We are looking for ways to allow users who wish to book an appointment via the Walk-Up Experience check-in portal page to choose which technician they would like to see, or else select a default queue which would assign appointments based on availability. Besides creating separate location queues for each technician, is there a way OOB to set this up?
Thanks!

Out-of-the-box (OOB), the Walk-Up Experience does not include an explicit feature for users to select a specific technician.
You can add a custom field on the Walk-Up check-in form to allow users to select a technician. This could be a reference field to the "sys_user" table, filtered to only display available technicians.
i hope my answer helps you to resolve your issue, if yes please mark my answer helpful and correct.
thank you

Hi Rajesh,
Thank you for your answer - do you have any recommendations on the best way to go about this based on experience. From my perspective, that would require fairly extensive modification to the widget
Thanks

Yes, you are correct it require extensive modifications and it is too complex, an alternative could be creating additional queues for technicians or adding business rules to manage technician preferences and availability checks in the background.
In my case, I was able to convey my client and added additional queue. 😄

I think this will be like discrimination, as one technician might be always busy and other may not, also from employee side, will imbalance the work load and create dependency on one resource only. As @Rajesh Chopade1 sir confirm there is No OOTB way for this.
