Hi Experts,
What is the purpose of CMDB or what we can store it?, Where we can use CMDB else how to configure or implement CMDB in instance?
Any solution is appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

I advise you to go to NowLearning and check on some of the CMDB courses (or even the fundamentals training).
Also: ITIL has CMDB included.
And don't do anything else before you do the basic work, because the CMDB is what drives the processes within the system. If you have to ask these questions, you are not ready to start working on ServiceNow.
Please mark any helpful or correct solutions as such. That helps others find their solutions.

CMDB (Configuration Management Database) is a centralized digital repository that systematically records and manages all critical components known as Configuration Items (CIs) within an IT environment.
Think of it as a digital inventory system that provides detailed insights into every asset, including its attributes, relationships, and operational status, enabling better control, visibility, and decision-making across IT operations.
Simple Example for understanding: Netflix
Imagine you're managing Netflix: Each movie or show is like a Configuration Item (CI).
You track details such as: Title, Genre, Cast, Language
Now, think of an IT environment:
A CI could be a server, application, database, router, or cloud service.
A CMDB is like Netflix for your IT systems.
It keeps track of all your IT assets like servers, apps, and databases by storing key details such as who owns them, where they are, what they do, and how they connect to other systems.
Just like Netflix organizes shows and movies, a CMDB helps you keep everything in your IT environment organized.
