Yes, you will get notifications (unless you explicitly unsubscribe after following.)
Edit which notifications you receive for a conversation
You will definitely get notified via the Connect (chat) box that appears. Note the dropdown next to the button. You can open the Connect chat either in mini (embedded window) or full (separate browser tab.)
Enable or disable Connect notifications globally

Hello Chuck,
I also have a similar question.
One of our user is following some of the requests, once he follows any requests he needs a notification should be triggered when the ticket changes . So for this I have enabled the setting in the Notification tab for desktop notifications.
All other setting in his profile for emails and mobile are active already.
By doing this change will the user start getting notifications everytime on change happens on the request?
Kindly help.

I'm trying to understand this feature better. Can we receive notifications for other activities as well (for example, when a case is assigned or when a case is marked as resolved or closed)? Are those activities considered comments or work notes? Also, when a customer responds back to an email sent through the case or to comments made on the case is that message (which gets recorded as activity) considered a comment that would trigger a notification?
Thanks!
