Yes, you will get notifications (unless you explicitly unsubscribe after following.)

Edit which notifications you receive for a conversation

You will definitely get notified via the Connect (chat) box that appears. Note the dropdown next to the button. You can open the Connect chat either in mini (embedded window) or full (separate browser tab.)

Enable or disable Connect notifications globally

Hello Shaik,

You can follow a record in Connect Chat to track activity as it happens, in a familiar chat interface. When you follow a record, you become a member of a record conversation. Please refer below link for more info.

Note: By default, record conversations are enabled for all tables that extend Task [task].

You can follow different task records in the system to get notified about changes: Follow a record in Connect

That button allows you to get notifications as they happen via Connect. It makes you part of the update process so information is pushed to you rather than you having to come back and check it all the time.

Yes, it is part of the OOB feature of catalog tasks.

Thanks for the reply Chuck, Just wanted to confirm when you say "It makes you part of the update process so information is pushed to you rather than you having to come back and check it all the time", is that mean we will be getting notified via email or we need to select Open connect under follow drop down menu ?
