What is Idea Stage and how does it work ?

In Idea module, there is a field called Stage. I want to know how does this field get value stage from Demand or Project or Defect like in this image and show that table state on the list

=> I want to create a filter on this field on my custom Service Portal but I don't know how this field will get data and show on List UI

What version are you on? I just checked my Yokohama PDI and I don't have a 'stage' field on Idea. 
Can you check the dictionary to see if it's a custom field?

Hi Mark,

I am on Yokohama version, recently I just have had my instance upgraded from Washington to Yokohama. I did request an personal instance to check this and the stage field is removed from table Idea on Yokohama version. I don't know why it is got removed but the field it self is not custom it was installed along with the plugin and if I remember correctly it is plugin com.snc.ppm_innovation_management

Then the field isn't used OOB anymore (no longer there on Yokohama). That means you can do with it what you want, if you still have it on your upgraded instance.
