What is the best practice to populate a channel field on case form?

Hi all,

I have a requirement where I need to populate a channel field based on from where it is being created, like if case is being created from Service Portal then need to set channel as Web, f case is being created from Email then need to set channel as Email. How do I achieve this?

I guess it is OOTB available.  Channels get auto populated based on interface.
