I am learning servicenow new orlando work space builder using this link

can anyone tell me the difference between the service portal and UI Framework using node environment.
Is portal is going to replaced by this new CLI framework.

HI,
Service Portal is like a Portal where you can order items and track your ticket, approve tickets.
UI framework is for Agent workspace where you can edit your agent workspace where you work on records like Incident,problem,alerts,etc.

The difference is ... huge.
For Service Portal :
- ServiceNow provides a framework with its own UI concepts (widgets, pages, etc),
- ServiceNow provides available components based on those concepts,
- You can assemble those components to create your own components,
- You can take advantage of AngularJs to enrich your pages,
- It is possible to create single page app in it.
For Now Experience UI :
- ServiceNow provides another framework with its own UI concepts (widgets, pages, etc.)
- ServiceNow provides available components based on those concepts,
- You can assemble those components to create your own components,
- It is compatible with recent standard Web Components concept (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Web_Components), very powerfull,
- It is possible to create workspace in it,
- It is clearly the future of ServiceNow UI if you need to develop brandnew UI solutions,
- It is not clear wether you can use other frameworks (Angular, React) in it,
- It is also young = time will tell how long it will take it to be mature for non-ServiceNow developers usage, wether now or in later releases.

Hello!
I have been researching this myself.
Currently, it appears that Now-Components and the new Now Experience UI Framework is only limited to Agent Workspace. I have beent trying to find resources on now learning, on-demand seminars, and a few other avenues to no avail. I am expecting more information should be released/coming.
