ServiceNow Terminology:
Standard Change:
These are preapproved changes characterized by low risk, adhering to common procedures or work instructions.
Emergency Change:
These changes require immediate implementation and do not undergo the complete lifecycle of a normal change due to their urgency. During an emergency change, such as an unplanned CI change, an unauthorized change request may be created and sent for approvals.
Normal Change:
Normal changes do not fall under the categories of emergency or standard changes. They follow a prescribed process involving two levels of approval before implementation, review, and closure.

In practical terms, standard changes can be deployed at any time, bypassing the change request window procedure, similar to emergency changes. They are typically used for configuration changes rather than scripting changes.
