HEF is the airport code for Manassas Regional Airport in Manassas, Virginia.

We use local airport codes as internal nomenclature to denote datacenter pods (a portion of a datacenter region such as Northern Virginia, San Jose, Geneva, Toronto, Hong Kong, etc.).

You can assume that HEF is physically in Northern Virginia but not at the Manassas airport
