Why I cant go to the incident from the parent field

Hi,

I have the Reference field 'Parent' in my sc_req_item table. Why I dont have the option 'Open Record' and go to the current incident?

Both can't be done , either make it read only or edit able. But why editable, if it is getting auto populated. Check this system property please

is this RITM created from Incident using Create Request UI action?

If yes then parent field gets populated on REQ record.

Are you sure the parent field on RITM form is dot walked from REQ?
