Why only "maint" role can delete Employee Profiles records?

I was trying to delete employee profile records and I saw that the delete acl for this table requires the "maint" role to perform this action. Does anyone know why only servicenow can delete it?
I changed the role to admin and I was able to delete, but I would like to understand what is the reason for this limitation.

I would log a case and ask the SNC directly. They may have done it on accident, a dev before you could have changed it or there maybe something that they did not want to tell anyone about deleting a record.
Is it part of a plugin and do you have the latest version installed? It may be "corrected" in a newer version.

You're right, it was last updated in 2023. I think the best way is to open a case.

We end up deleting the records with a fix script. I asked for the customer to open a hi case for it.
