Recurring Release creation

Hello experts,

I would like advice on the creation of a release and release readiness target.

Currently, we have a releases regularly on Monday (and for emergency on ad-hoc basis).

The go/no go would be on Friday before the release date.

I see that I can set the Release readiness target as recurring and it will update the calendar and in that case, I would set it for every Friday.

But regarding the Release record as such, am I correct that release record  has to be created then for each week manually and separately for each Product? or is there some feature that allows to generate also recurring release record (e.g. for the whole year?) and for selected product (or multiple selected product? as it seems an overhead to generate it each time manually.

Thank you very much

Atul: Correct, release need to be create every week and map with the calendar/ target readiness. Just take it like Release readiness is like a reoccurring meeting invite but every week we have different agenda.

Hello @Alpa82,

You are right regarding the release readiness targets, you can set the recurring release targets to occur every Friday and that should work for you.

However, the release record would need to be manually created, for each product/version and each (recurring) target. There is no feature in DPR that supports auto generation of release records.

@Sai Teja1 Thank you for the confirmation. Is there a plan to implement a feature to enable the recurring release creation to eliminate that each week a new release record for each product needs to be manually created? thank you

Hi @Alpa82, I am the Product Manager for Digital Product Release.

I'd like to learn more about the use case. Can we discuss over a quick call? If yes, could you book a time that's convenient to you? https://bit.ly/3MUx2iY

Thanks,
