DPM: Application Service & Business Application Portfolio - Availability

How is availability populated for Business Application Portfolio? I've add a commitment to the Service Availability related listed under my business application.  Also, this question extends to Application service portfolio.  How is availability added for either one of these?

@Khill

You can assign the KPI group "Portfolio success metrics" to an application service that rolls up to your related Business Application as well. This KPI group contains the following PA indicators:

  • Availability
  • Incidents with a breached service level agreement (SLA)
  • Incidents caused by changes
  • Successful changes

After mapping these KPI groups, the availability should be visible on your portfolio view. You can leverage DPM Admin Center to do these mappings in a guided experience for both business applications and application services portfolios.

"Portfolio Success Metric" OOB is linked to Enterprise Portfolio table and not the Application Service table. So should I just create my own KPI group aligned to the application service table ? Or is there an OOB way to do this?

You can map that KPI group to an app service portfolio and it will display on the app service. we have app service specific KPIs you can also map to individual app services.image.jpeg

Okay, So App service has one.  What about Business app portfolio? Is there one OOB KPI? If so, how do I make the percentage visible?
