Service Portfolio Taxonomy Node Error

I'm attempting to build out a service portfolio and create a taxonomy node within it. However, I'm receiving this error

How do I properly add the taxonomy?

I believe this fits with an experience I had in creation of the Node not long ago.

The creation of a Layer precedes the node creation (node being assigned to a layer).
