3. Is the quick links widget different from the existing quick links feature available with Content Delivery (CD)?
Yes, below are the key differences between the two widgets:
|
||
What is it? |
It is a new widget, shipped with Employee Center. There are two types: 1. The image-based quick links that are available on the home page. 2. The quick links on topic pages that provide easy access to the content of interest. |
It is a widget available with Content Experiences before the launch of Employee Center.
It is still available with EC pro and can provide quick access to an external URL on any page. |
How is it technically different? |
Its data model is defined to reference any existing catalog items/pages/kb or external URL and supports more digital assets such as icons in addition to the background image. |
The data model only supports URL tagging. |
Who is it available to? |
Available for all customers with Employee Center. |
Available only with HRSD Pro or EC Pro license. |
Refer to Explore Employee Center in product documentation to learn more.
Also, refer to the Employee Center Community Home page for additional FAQs.

I'm curious about an updated comparison. This seems a bit old, but maybe it's up to date. We plan to upgrade to the Employee Center when we upgrade to Utah and can't decide if we should go Pro. Thanks.
