How to get existing categories and catalogs into cloned Taxonomy in Employee Center.

Hi,
I have cloned OOB taxonomy.
Now I need to get all the existing categories, sub-categories and catalog items into my new taxonomy. Is there any way we can pull them here or we need to add them manually one by one?
And how does new catalog items/categories which we created will show up in the portal. will the OOB job( Surface New Unconnected Content of Categories) will pick up my cloned taxonomy as well?

Hi,
In my experience you need to setup your topics, child-topics and content item manually initially. After the setup is done, once you create new catalog item you can utilize the feature just like categories .You can edit the catalog items via list view to get them in suitable Topics.subtopics.

The "Taxonomy Topic" field is a read only, do we need to alter the ACL's ?
