Standard change template library to show in Employee center

Dear ServiceNow experts,

we are currently on Xanadu release and using employee center as self-service portal for our end users, coming from both business and IT background.

We want to enable our users to create standard changes using the standard change templates from the standard change catalogue directly from the employee center.

Under catalog items, I find catalog items of the class = standard change template.  These are automatically created from the approved standard change template proposals.

Now under Employee center taxonomy, I added a topic "Standard change library".

Under this topic, I added unter the connected content tab some active standard change templates (content type = catalog item).

However, when checking on the employee center, the topic can't be found, nor any of the standard change templates.

The standard change templates are also not searchable in the employee center search.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi @EK28 ,

This is a common issue.

Follow below steps to ensure that the taxonomy becomes visible:

Note: these are steps for the taxonomy i created in PDI, my application scope is employee center and it could be different than yours. Make sure you are in the application scope mentioned in the records

  1. Go to Advanced Portal Navigation sn_ex_sp_portal_extensible_navigation and click on the "i" icon of the active portal record as shown below and open record

2. Click on Sync hierarchy. Once the hierarchy is synced new topics would come up in the list view. For me the new topic was under Technology services.

3. I navigated under technology Services and clicked on Sync hierarchy again, and then i could see the newly created taxonomy topic

However, the taxonomy topic was deactivated when synced. So i manually activated it.

Once activated, log out and log in to the esc portal the new topic should be visible under taxonomy.
